Before the Kentucky At the Kentucky Derby, Dannielynn and Larry Burkhead are enjoying some time together!
The father-daughter team dressed to impress on Friday, May 3, as they attended gatherings in advance of the major race on Saturday.
“Heading to Barnstable-Brown Gala to celebrate the beginning of the @kentuckyderby weekend,” said Larry, 51, as the description for a carousel on Instagram that included pictures of him and Dannielynn, 17.

The two were sitting next to each other, sharing a seat and grinning at the camera in the first picture. While his daughter chose to wear an all-black ensemble that had been worn by Janet Jackson in the past, the photographer wore a gray suit set with a black tie.
Regarding her wardrobe, he commented, “Dannielynn is wearing her second @janetjackson outfit to the party that I got from Janet’s @juliens_auctions -charity auction.”
The dress, in Julien’s words, is a “black Gianfranco Ferree dress with zippers all around that is knee-length in the front and floor-length in the back.”
“Looking forward to a fun Derby weekend with the newly graduated high school student,” Burkhead said in closing.
The late Anna Nicole Smith’s daughter leads a year-round life that is largely secluded. But since Dannielynn was three years old, Burkhead and Dannielynn have made it their aim to go to the Kentucky Derby together every May.

The teenager posed for pictures with her father, who coordinated with similar colors, while sporting a sunflower pattern outfit created by Leo Lin for the 2023 Kentucky Derby.
In addition to their yearly father-daughter excursions, the two are well-known for their mutual support on social media.
In January, Burkhead made light of the fact that his daughter had taken “really bad pictures” of him for his birthday.
His Instagram post read, “#1-3) A friend took us to dinner for my birthday and Dannielynn continued her journey to take really bad pictures of me,” and included pictures of him and his daughter giggling while eating.

And Burkhead gave his daughter compliments on her September birthday.
“Happy birthday, Dannielynn! You’re 17! You have my utmost admiration in every manner. I hope you have the greatest day ever. He penned. “You are attractive, clever as hell, witty, and just much everything I could ever want for. I know your mother would be extremely proud of you.”
Burkhead wrote, “Happy Birthday! “before he concluded his post. Love you, Dad ❤️ I remember asking you once if you could reside in my basement permanently. I agreed, but I couldn’t bring myself to inform you that Florida doesn’t have any basements 😂 ❤️ #HappyBirthday 🎂.”
