On April 28, Brian suddenly passed away at home. Brian was a wonderful and passionate actor who impacted many lives both on stage and screen. He passed away far too soon, according to the statement. “Please keep Brian in your prayers; we love and miss him very much. In the coming days, information regarding the funeral will be released. We would like to request privacy at this time as a family.

In a post on X, United Agents, McCardie’s agency, also confirmed his passing, saying, “We are shocked and so deeply saddened by the tragic news of Brian McCardie’s sudden death.” Our thoughts are very much with his family and friends during this difficult time. He was an actor of such great talent that we were fortunate to represent.

Despite making few appearances in “Line of Duty” during the first two seasons of the show, McCardie gave a standout performance. Executive producer Simon Heath and creator Jed Mercurio of “Line of Duty” both expressed how “honored” they were to collaborate with him.
