colorectal cancer: According to research, colorectal cancer is affecting children in the US more and more often.
A recent 22-year review of Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) statistics found that there were significant increases in colorectal cancer cases among youngsters between 1999 and 2020.
colorectal cancer: In children aged 10 to 14, the incidence of colorectal cancer rose by 500%, in teens aged 15 to 19, and in young people aged 20 to 24 by 185% throughout same period.
The findings will be presented later this month, at Digestive Disease Week.
Emphasizing how unusual these circumstances are overall is essential. For example, from 0.1 per 100,000 in 1999, there were 0.6 per 100,000 children diagnosed with colorectal cancer between the ages of 10 and 14.

The reason behind the increase in younger people getting colorectal cancer is uncertain. Beachy does, however, stress a few points to keep in mind.
