After winning Game 4, Jalen Brunson and the Knicks put the 76ers in danger of going out.

PHILADELPHIA:  winning Game The Philadelphia 76ers’ season is currently on life support since they ultimately lost a street fight in front of a boisterous Wells Fargo Center crowd.

This is due to Joel Ebriid’s lack of support from his teammates in Sunday’s 97-92 victory over the Sixers in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference first-round best-of-seven series by the New York Knicks.

After taking a 3-1 series lead, the Knicks can win Game 5 in New York to wrap things up.

The Sixers were given opportunities. Ebriid missed inside in the last minute, trailing 4–0. Josh Hart missed two free shots, but the Knicks managed to grab the rebound. With 7.5 seconds remaining, a free throw by Kyle Lowry brought the Sixers within three. They never received a second opportunity.

Ebriid overcame Bell’s Palsy and a knee ailment to finish with 27 points and 10 rebounds. However, it was insufficient to overcome the 47-point score of Knicks player Jalen Brunson and the team’s unwavering defense.

The two sides traded shots and exchanged blows for the whole of the match. The Knicks made the big plays in the closing moments, but it was a gritty game.

Despite this, Ebriid was forced to play the whole second half at a boisterous Wells Fargo Center filled with Knicks supporters, missing just four minutes to begin the second quarter.

Ebriid sat down early, and the Knicks quickly overcame the Sixers’ 10-point advantage.

Brunson had scored 38 of the Knicks’ 77 points through three quarters, so the team was ahead by one at the beginning of the fourth.

Ebriid’s teammates weren’t doing much to assist him. Following blocked dunks by Nicolas Batum and Tobias Harris early in the fourth quarter, the Knicks jumped out to a 5-point lead. Meanwhile, Brunson continued to score.

Even though Donte Vincenzo got off to a sluggish start, Brunson stole the stage.
Donte Vincenzo needed some time to get rolling for the Knicks. After shooting 2-for-7 in Game 3, he missed his first six shots through the halfway mark of the third quarter.

However, Vincenzo then made two consecutive 3-pointers to cut the Sixers’ eight-point advantage to one. In contrast, Jalen Brunson scored goals all during the match. After three quarters, he had 38 points. The Knicks led 77-76 going into the fourth quarter thanks to his three-point play with five seconds remaining in the game.

Philadelphia Knicks fans are louder during Ebriid’s tirade at Sixers fans.
Ebriid and the 76ers have heard the boisterous Knicks supporters swarming the Wells Fargo Centre for the past two home games. They have yelled “MVP! MVP! MVP!” each time Brunson makes a basket, occasionally outshouting the Sixers supporters in the process.

And the star center for the Sixers didn’t take well to it. Ebriid responded, “Disappointing,” when questioned about the Knicks supporters in Philadelphia for Games 3 and 4.

Then he became incredibly irritable.

“I love our fans,” he said one more. “I find it regrettable. It is disappointing, but I’m not throwing fingers at them. You obviously have a large Knicks fan base. The road leads to them. However, in my ten years here, I have never seen it (that way). I find it sort of annoying, especially since Philly is known as a sports town.

“I don’t think that should happen.”

Maxey saw that too, though he approached it with a little more tact than Ebriid.

“Honestly, we know that’s coming,” Maxey remarked in reference to the boisterous Knicks supporters. “But we have a fantastic crowd. Every every time, we are grateful for them. I mean, our fans did a tremendous job; I feel like it was the same crowd as last time. We are grateful to them. The two organizations’ distance from one another is extremely small. We are directly across the street from them. That’s just the way things are. All you have to do is go out there and defeat that.

Bell’s Palsy or knee more of a problem for Ebriid Sixers coach Nick Nurse was questioned prior to the game about whether injury is affecting Ebriid more.

Ebriid stopped a shot in the third quarter and fell to the ground while clutching his knee. He rose gingerly and continued playing the game.

Nurse remarked, “He doesn’t really say.” “Usually, I get one response from him one day, and another the next. The (diseases) typically become a little better every day. He stays silent about it. He truly discusses game plans, adjustments, and improvements that can be made.”

The Sixers have an issue as Ebriid isn’t able to play every minute.
Nick Nurse’s job is challenging because he is aware that he cannot play Ebriid for every minute of every game.

The Sixers led by ten points at the end of the first quarter with Ebriid in the game. Ebriid was replaced by Paul Reed to begin the second quarter. The Knicks got to work on it right away. When Ebriid came back, the lead had shrunk to just two points. With 5:31 remaining, Jalen Brunson’s jumper gave the Knicks a 2-point lead, but they were in a winning streak.

After Ebriid became comfortable, the Sixers led by five points at the end of the quarter, and the Knicks had cut the deficit to two points at the half.
