All of Cleveland’s Cavaliers Highlights hopes were dashed in a 121-83 Game 3 loss to the Magic, as the first-round playoff series shifted to Orlando.
The Cavs are currently up 2-1 in the series. Orlando will host Game 4 on Saturday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday night in Cleveland will be Game 5.
The Magic were once more a very different club at home, just as they had been during the regular season, and the Cavs led wire to wire in Games 1 and 2, but were destroyed in Game 3.
The Magic had some of the most lopsided home-away splits in the league this season, going 18-23 on the road and 29-12 at home. Their ratings for both offense and defense were also almost ten points superior at home in both offense and defense.
All of that was made clear on Thursday during Game 3, when Jalen Suggs and Paolo Banchero exploited the Cavs defense.

When an NBA playoff game descends into a dumpster fire, it’s never pleasant, but that’s just where the Cavs and Magic are at the moment.
In both Games 1 and 2, the Cavaliers limited the Magic to 86 points or fewer. After just three quarters of play, the Magic had already reached 96 points. The Cave have won this evening after two close victories.
As of right now, Paolo Banchero has four assists, 14 rebounds, and 31 points. It was a major first for him to show up. Jalen Suggs, who is scoring 24 points on 9 of 11 shots, is also having an amazing night. Neither of them has received a response from the Cavaliers.
Donovan Mitchell has only shot six of sixteen times from the field for thirteen points, and he has missed multiple foul shots. Except for a strong period right before the half, he hasn’t played well this evening. Moreover, Darius Garland has only five points on two of eight shots.
In Game 3, the Cavaliers trail the Magic by thirty points.
Cleveland is going to have a bad time with this. The Magic now behind by thirty points.
For the entirety of Games 1 and 2, the Cavaliers led. This evening? Orlando has won every game on both sides of the court, while the Cavaliers have appeared to be spinning their tires due to mud.
It appears that there will be a minimum of one Game 5, which is scheduled for Tuesday night in Cleveland.

The Cavaliers are only 3 of 18 from three-point range. The inside hasn’t been a problem because Evan Mobley and Jarrett Allen both have 10 points and have played well offensively. However, the Cavaliers have just been unable to make any outside shots.
Banchero has seven rebounds and 19 points so far.
Cavs are down Magic in Game 3 by 20 points.
Paolo Banchero was particularly effective in slowing down the Cavaliers in Games 1 and 2, but he’s putting his foot down in Game 3. With 19 points, he leads the Magic, who are playing at a high level tonight.
After 2:30 of the first half, the Magic have a 59-38 lead.
Magic is dominating the Cavaliers; halfway through the second quarter, Orlando leads 50-34.
Compared to the Orlando team the Cavaliers destroyed in Games 1 and 2, Orlando appears to be a whole other team.
For the first time this series, Banchero finally appears like the All-Star he once was with 15 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 assists. Franz Wagner has three rebounds, three assists, and ten points. The Magic stars are contributing to the cause.
The Cavs have made only two of their first sixteen 3-point tries, demonstrating their extreme coldness. Donovan Mitchell is just 1 for 5 from the field, including a poorly executed dunk effort where he let go of the ball midway to the basket. Max Strus is just 1-for-4 from the field to start the game.

This game, the Magic have shown a different kind of enthusiasm than they did in Cleveland for Games 1 and 2.
Orlando went on a 13-0 run to close the first quarter after grabbing eight offensive rebounds.
The Cavs made only one of their twelve 3-point attempts. Furthermore, the Magic are still a totally different squad at home than they are away from home.
It seems sense that the Cavaliers are sick of hearing about their playoff series defeat to the Knicks from the previous season. But, it will appear very similar if they have trouble grabbing rebounds and making long-range shots.
For the first time in the NBA playoffs’ opening round, Magic leads the Cavaliers.
At last, the Magic are in the lead.
With 5:30 remaining in the first quarter, Paolo Banchero scored a 3-pointer and then made an off-balance jumper that he somehow managed to fall, giving the Magic a 16–14 lead.
This series, the Cavs will have to overcome a deficit for the first time.
Magic take on the Cavaliers in Game 3. freezing straight out of the field
It appears that the Magic offence is still looking for some breathing room.
Orlando has only shot 1 of 11 in the first 11 minutes of Game 3, which has allowed the Cavaliers to take an early 10-3 lead.
Additionally, it implies that the Cavaliers still have a potential to win Game 3 handily, even though they are aware that the Magic have been a far superior team at home, providing a greater challenge for the Cleveland defence.
Due to an injury, Dean Wade will miss the whole Orlando Magic series.
The Cavaliers had hoped to watch forward Dean Wade during this series, but that is not going to happen.
With a right knee sprain that has kept him out of action since March 13, Wade is out for at least the rest of the series. He will require further time before going back to the floor, according to a recent MRI.
