History
The cockatoo parrot which is known as the name of Baudin’s Black Cockatoo or Baudin’s Cockatoo has greyish black plumage, long bill and short crest on its head. It has noticeable white cheek patches and a white tail band. The body plumes are edged with white giving a scalloped appearance. Young males have a dull dark bill and pink eye-rings while females have a bone shaded bill, dark eye-rings and ear fixes that are paler than those of the young males.
Breeding
They breed in the hollows of trees (Wandoo, Karri and Marri) from august to December. These cockatoos lay 3 to 5 eggs in a clutch approximately.
Lifespan
Baudin’s Cockatoo can survive almost 50 years with human.
